As a care worker I see this all too often. We simply do not have the manpower or the respite spaces available for everyone that needs them. There are sadly too many people in positions such as this. Given the circumstances the local CDNT social worker should be able to get in contact with respite services in the area but as I said spaces and manpower are as tight as it gets. Even with things as they are it is hard to say if they are in a position to offer any extra help though they should be doing their best to offer what they can.
Having said all that I can’t help but notice the brothers age is not stated so may need adult services which are in an even worse state off affairs. I really hope the local services come through.
