It’s scandalous he won’t win overall
the consolation award
I was SO glad when Erling scored 2 goals in Norway’s 2nd June Qualifier, just before the award consideration period deadline, to bring his total to 56 for club & country.
That allowed Erling to just nip Kylian who has 54 goals for club & country, which includes Kylian’s 8 goals at WC!
Maybe this award started in 2021 doesn’t mean all that much (*adding: in the moment/relatively*), but Erling as top scorer for club & country having not even gone to WC is pretty impressive!
