Florentino Pérez will increase the debt for the Bernabéu to over 1,000 million to face cost overruns. He will ask permission from Madrid’s members to increase the debt due to cost overruns of 200 million in the stadium, to which the underground parking must be added.

2. This is concerning. We have already invested 893M on the stadium and now we add additional 360M (according to Bloomberg), leading the big total to whooping 1.25B euros. (without even including interest).

   This is more than what Tottenham spent on their new stadium from the scratch!

   Only saving grace is that Madrid predicts 50M-100M euros additional pure profits once stadium is completed after reducing all extra expenses, interest repayment, principal repayment and sixth street commission fees.

3. I mean during the construction there has been a pandemic and two wars, it was obvious there was gonna be additional expenses. However it is concerning when the additional expenses it’s that much. I hope the socios ask the right questions in the upcoming assembly so we can all get a clear picture of all this.
