Real Madrid aims to become the first club in the world to have a turnover of more than €1 billion in the 23-24 season. The club budgets a turnover of €939.5M, to which it has been added €87M in transfers to give a net profit of €6.3M. The wage bill is contained, but the rest of the costs skyrocket.

  1. I want to raise an important point here. Revenue != Profits.

According to vozpopuli, Real Madrid will post gross profits (EBITDA) of 183M only yet having a revenue of more than a Billion. To put in perspective Manchester United posts 180M EBIDTA with only 700M in revenue while having a comparable wage structure to ours.

We are spending 300M+ on operating activities (not wages, transfer expenditure, staff costs).. This is an outrageous amount of money every year!

City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea all spend anywhere between 150M-200M maximum.. We are spending 100M extra just on operating activities (merchandising, stadium staffs, VIP maintainence, food, travelling, 3rd party contracts, etc).
