I won’t speculate on the potential identity or motive of the vandal. Does remind of a series of incidents that occurred a few years ago in village an aunt lived near in SE England..
“Isis” graffiti started to appear everywhere. The villagers concerned they were being earmarked for some sort of attack or had a ‘white widow’ or ‘geehadee John’ in their midst installed a series of small , discreet CCTV cameras around hotspots that seemed to serve as a magnet and attract the vandal / suspected radical. Turned out to be an autistic boy who had become fixated with the term. Scribbling it everywhere with no real concept or understanding of what they were writing. . Who knows.. silly.
>The life-sized steel silhouette was made by AGC Fabrications, which previously donated a soldier statue **to replace a war memorial stolen from the same village.**
Someone there has serious beef with 100 year old veterans.

>A man was left feeling “physically sick” after seeing graffiti sprayed on a memorial to Captain Sir Tom Moore.
Some low threshold of disgust you have there. That’s insulting to bravery in and of itself.
