  1. >Boris Johnson agreed with some Conservative MPs who thought Covid was “nature’s way of dealing with old people”, the Covid inquiry was told

    Wow. The Tories folks.

  2. Weren’t we all laughing, calling it the boomer remover??? I know I was.

  3. Something the Nazi Party would have welcomed to deal with “useless eaters”.

  4. Maybe he should have just accepted his Covid fate when he caught it instead of getting best in class hospital care when he stupidly shook hands with people who had it.

  5. Boris Johnson deserved the premiership he got, he expected to swan about doing photo ops holding pints with a thumb up and everyone else would just do the work. The fact that all he got was misery and chaos due to COVID was his own doing due to being utterly incompetent and narcissistic.

Imagine how much better things could have been if we’d had someone who cared in charge.

  6. Isn’t this the view of Dominic Cummings I drove to a castle to test my eye sight with my family in tow?

Don’t get me wrong on Boris, total twat, but a scorned heavyweight liar is giving all this spill.

  7. Same guy who opened the country early because for some reason schools were not a mass gathering point, the ongoing effect of this caused an outbreak to the kids which passed on to family members.

    Opened Sept 1 2020

  8. Interesting political tactic since old people are basically THE Tory democratic.

“Let the people got for me die” was his approach. From a moral standpoint it’s gross, from a political standpoint it’s stupid.

It really is a testimony to his attitude in being PM.

“I can’t be arsed”. That’s it. It was a paycheck to him, not even an attempt to retain or protect his own voter base.

  9. It’s put in slightly harsh terms… However many people in the country thought that, and many people still do. Was it worth it to risk a massive recession and disrupt the lives of the majority of the population, in order to extend the average life expectancy of older people by a few years?

Every country faced the same dilemma and some even chose *less* action than the UK.

  10. They don’t call him Boris “Let The Bodies Pile High” Johnson for nothing, y’all

  11. Wonder if this will be plastered over the papers tomorrow, I know some elderly Daily Mail readers who love Boris Johnson and the Tories that would, ah who am I kidding, they’d probably still somehow find a way to spin it into something they agree with.

  12. Sounds awful but he’s not really wrong.

A virus exists as population control and it will always target the weakest of society which usually tend to be older people.

  13. Arrest the fucking lot of them. Prosecute on grounds of negligence. Lock the fuckers up and throw away the key

  14. Sad thing…that age group still turn up to vote for them!

We all know he said this and far worse. Starmer got him to deny saying this very thing at the dispatch box and knew he had receipts.

  15. Accepting their fate doesn’t have to mean accepting they will die. It could mean accepting greater risk to avoid locking down the young. It has to be in context which almost all these quotes being sensationalised are not.

This inquiry has stopped being about what we can do better in a pandemic and turned into the witch hunt it was always fated to be.

  16. Klepto-Fascist-Technocratic-Genaricidals … am missing anything?

  17. He’s not alone. I had a friend who thought that we all missed a fine opportunity to naturally increase our housing supply and lower rents, as well as tip the scales of power towards more progressive politics.

  18. As he received round the clock care to survive covid 🤦‍♀️

  19. He really did want the bodies to pile up, didn’t he? Even if it killed off the Tory voter base in the process, he was happy to let us suffer while he pretended to be a Poundland Churchill. He used COVID as one giant PR exercise for himself and his cronies, using us as pawns while he focused on getting his name in the history books. Thankfully, he will go down more in infamy than fame because of this inquiry.

  20. The COVID enquiry today has been wild, unsurprising but absolutely wild.

Anyone who votes Tory next year should hang their fucking heads in shame…

  21. yeah I agree, look how lockdowns absolutely fucked up the countries finances and now no party has any leeway to do fuck all.

  22. My ex’s elderly mum has COPD and absolutely loved Boris. Throughout the pandemic she would say ‘I think he’s doing a difficult job and people are being too hard on him, and well, I like him, you know? He’s funny.’ When Partygate came out, she said: “I think people are making too big a deal out of it.”

This is a woman who had to be on emergency call for paxlovid and so at-risk that my ex and I didn’t see each other for five months to keep her safe.

    You can’t help some people.

  23. He’s never coming back from this. I bet even GB News won’t have him now. At least it’s nice to know his ‘bodies pile high’ comment was true.
