  1. I think any objective person can see what he did in the lead up to Jan 6th. Dude obviously wanted at least a certain degree of violence. “Will be wild”

  2. I mean… “Stand back, and stand by.” should’ve been a clue to everyone.

  3. If only he could convince the MAGA cult members in addition to the jury/judge.

  4. People who dispute any of this need to explain how so many people showed up in the same place at the same time, many dressed and equipped to breach the Capitol, and apparently take hostages.

  5. I’m still wondering how Ron “4 Inch Heels” DeSantis feels about all of this.

  6. I remember one of the militia leaders saying something to the effect that they needed to wait until they got a signal from Trump, which they would interpret as an order to activate the militia and allow them to “legally” storm the Capitol.

  7. “He’s from *outside* the beltway*

“He’s an outsider, not from the swamp establishment”

“He’s just figuring things out and doesn’t play by the same rules as the swamp”

  8. > One question that the trial will likely center on is whether Trump was aware of or intentionally signaled to the far-right extremists to be violent or attempt to overturn the election violently.

In other words, was Trump the lucky monkey banging on the typewriter that produced “Romeo and Juliet?”

  9. At one point Trumps attorney referenced Dumb and Dumber today if that tells ya how things are going.

  10. Two things tell even the most casual observer that this was premeditated and coordinated.

Trump’s “Stand back and stand by” tweet and Lauren Boebert’s play by play on Twitter giving Nancy Pelosi’s location.

Those *facts* alone are enough to convict all of them, and it’s unfortunate no one has had the god damn courage to do it yet.

  11. Foolish people see this as election interference.

Rational people recognize that someone like Trump is why the 14th amendment exists.

  12. I saw him go on tv while the coup attempt was ongoing and say to the insurrectionists “you are special and I love you”.

  13. I’m really, really bored with all of this. I’m also terrified about 2024.

  14. I’m liberal and on jan 6th I made a big pot of coffee, opened the DC traffic cams and was monitoring parlor. That was before he even spoke.

That’s how much it was advertised. Even though I didn’t know they would attack the capital like they did it was well known they were trying to stop the certification. It was all over parlor. I just thought they would block politicians from getting inside though…

  15. As far as I care, the most damning piece of evidence against Trump on Jan 6 is that he did nothing to stop it. He wants you to believe that he’s an ignorant shit head who had no power that day, had no clue what was going on, and generally was just an incompetent buffoon after sending people along to the Capitol from his rousing speech. The only viable alternative is that he waited to see if it would succeed before doing anything about it, and only told people to go home once it failed. Either option makes him a dangerous asshole who shouldn’t be near the White House.

  16. “Be there, will be wild!”

Donald Trump lost the 2020 election and knew it. But he didn’t want to leave and summoned a mob to Washington, knowing they were armed, and sent them to the Capitol, telling them to “fight like hell” to block the transfer of power.

If we are going to survive as a nation with a democracy, this can never happen again.

  17. Oh you mean the Proud Boys who ended up in jail, some for decades, for seditious conspiracy? Do you mean that extremist group?

  18. They keep using “experts” against people that don’t bring their best. Should bring these “not bests” so they can say “yeah, I listened to the orange guy”.

  19. Reminder Trump working with elected, appointed and members of the RNC and state republicans tried to overturn a presidential election and worked with white supremist to organized the January 6th insurrection attempt.

Let’s work on ending this and make progress as a nation. There are elections near you on November 7th and early voting may be underway in many places so vote.

Vote out as many republicans as we can to pave the way for victory in 2024 and beyond. Every election matters from the school board to the white house, VOTE.

  20. Take Trump out of the equation and January 6th never happens. He alone is the reason everyone showed up.

  21. This won’t go anywhere though. I truly wish it would, but it won’t
