A rainy day in York

  1. Do you actually need to add rainy to a day in Yorkshire?

It’s like a sunny day in La Valetta /s

  2. In 306AD the Roman emperor Constantine I (later known as Constantine the Great) acceded to the throne of the empire in York while he was campaigning. There’s a (modern) statue of him just around the corner of this shot.

He was incidentally the first Christian emperor of Rome and established its new capital at Byzantium, which he had renamed ‘Constantinople’ (after himself).

  3. One of my favourite places in England. I could moan about it being too touristic, but when I go there I’m a tourist myself. I go about once a year or so.

  4. I miss York so much. It’s for sure one of the most beautiful places in the UK. Outside of being a bit full of tourists and Harry potter shops it’s still this ancient walled city with so much to do.

  5. York always a nice day out.

They know how to do good food up North too.

Great shops, food and walks round walls.
