Only offensive thing I witnessed this holiday was a dude pointing out a pride flag on a neighbor’s porch. He all but spat on the ground while saying “*That* person teaches our children..” in disgust. Even as he watched his son scamper up a walkway to happily score a treat from the porch that bore the flag.
That teacher would likely teach our children acceptance of human diversity, if they were to acknowledge the topic at all. Meanwhile, the father may be unintentionally teaching prejudice and hate, which are both synonymous with fear.
That’s the difference in a president and a party that can relate to the people and a party that only cares about billionaires and fuck the rest of us
