I think people would be shocked to see how prevalent this thought was in some circles. My 60y/o father who spent COVID in a constant state of outrage, watching people pretend to be intelligent in front of green screens on YouTube expressed a similar thought countless times.
They were gonna die soon anyway, so let them die, you have to die at some point.

The people most strongly against lockdowns were in their 40s and 50s, but also some of the grannies and grandpas. So, he’s not even wrong to ask that. It’s hard to stay home and protect the vulnerable if the vulnerable are hosting house parties and getting sick anyway.
I’m sorry but if you can’t handle the virus you should stay home and let the rest of society continue to operate.
