“Russia some time ago withdrew all its units from the territory of Belarus, as part of the rotation, it did not bring in new ones – a certain number of Russian troops remain, but they are more service personnel,” Spokesman of the State Border Guard Andriy Demchenko said.

  1. Remember when Russia moved loads of troops into Belarus and a lot of us were thinking it was a prelude to Russia absorbing Belarus into the RF?

Maybe it was a move by Putin to keep Lukashenko in line. Play ball or else? Or they planned another major offensive from the north and the decided against it?

Or just maybe, they need those troops in the east and south, further indicating Russia is have real problems with recruitment.
