  1. Is this going to be a bait and switch? I have yet to hear a satisfactory answer from Republicans as to why Israel and Ukraine aid can’t be bound together.

  2. A victory strategy, is no bad thing…in fact it is absolutely essential.

What constitutes victory? What are the steps that need to be taken to achieve it? What resources are needed for each step? How do we ensure the resources are delivered in a timely manner?

We have to hope that this strategy exists and that it’s not being made public for operational reasons.

You would assume it’s been thrashed out at Rammstein, but knowing our governments I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still just a muddle through approach…”What can we spare and what are you going to do with it?” kind of approach.

  3. Um, it is a statement from one Republican that goes against the majority. So? “The Republicans” and ” The “Reds” is just blatantly misleading. Yeah, a few oppose open-ended aid but so do a few Democrats. It doesn’t matter. That is democracy in a country with relatively free speech.

  4. I understand the “reds” want to see the victory strategy so they can deliver it to Putin.

  5. The victory strategy should have been created 600 days ago. But instead was chosen the strategy of slow strangulation and now we have matching result. Russia is suffering but still kicking.

  6. The Republicans could barely elect a Speaker, would they even be able to understand a victory strategy?

  7. Putin could not of planned it better. Unless Trump got elected again.

  8. Gasp. The Republicans want the Dems to actually come up with a plan. The horror.

  9. We all want a victory strategy, but you can’t just defeat Russia without a lot of weapons and ammunition… Are the republicans willing to provide it?

  10. Here is my victory strategy: Send me them more tanks, APCs, IFVs and ATACM’s.

  11. Im fine with this, but if this is what repubs actually want though why didn’t it get done earlier 🤦🏼‍♂️ makes me think theyre just being difficult.

  12. Yes, let’s put together a list of things Ukraine desperately needs, so they have a checklist of what not to give.

  13. 8 more years and Russia will give up. Like they did in Afghanistan. Russia cant this level of combat for 10 years total.

  14. What the F do the Republican Party or any political party know about military strategy? The US and Ukraine military would be insane to share publicly any strategic plans or information. Why would they want Russia to get all that intel? It’s almost as if there are elements of the Republican Party who are working on behalf of Russia as foreign agents.

  15. I don’t disagree because currently we have no overarching strategy other than keep Ukraine treading water

  16. That is easy – send long range missiles, modern tanks and BMPs, modern fighter jets, and send a lot of it – as you should have from the beginning.

  17. Look, I’m a huge supporter of Ukraine’s war against Russia and supporting it. However, I’m not in general a huge supporter of Ukraine as it’s one of the most “overtly” corrupt places on earth from what I’ve learned. The Republican Party is not “pro Russian” but it is definitely anti Ukraine and this stems from the Donald Trump impeachment which was intrinsically tied to Ukraine through the Hunter Biden Burisma scandal “covert corruption”. Ukraine held back the evidence of this scandal and Trump withheld aid. Not here to argue merits I’m just trying to explain why republicans are not excited about shelling out all our hard earned taxes to Ukraine without any plan.

Finally, I mentioned “overt” corruption in Ukraine and I used that word because it is in your face and very insidious, however, it’s extremely hypocritical of the USA including Biden to be pointing fingers at Ukraine’s corruption and this is done to pacify US tax payers as they hate corruption and are not corrupt themselves in general.

I mentioned hypocrisy because the USA is the world leader in “covert” corruption due to the fact that many legislators on both sides of the isle have their kids and grandkids and other relatives deeply placed in defense and other government contractors and support companies. So wars are good for democrats and republicans as it lines the pockets and is filtered up (Biden family is a good example) to the bank account.

This is why Trump had to be taken out because he was threatening this whole system that was quite frankly being used by both sides.

  18. The Title makes sense. Should have an explicit victory strategy from day 1. I don’t know if this is a cheap trick or not. But the West has been way too soft.

  19. Only way to secure victory is direct US intervention at this point or putting defense companies on full throttle

  20. A victory strategy would be great! Right now it’s just a sustenance strategy

  21. A repulicans word is worthless. They even see lying to those they don’t approve of as being approved by their horned god.

  22. Victory strategy was to give the long range armaments they asked for over 2 years ago. Hopefully they will now send them.

  23. Republicans are traitors to the US, let’s get that straight. Most of them voted to support an insurrection and to overturn an election. These are not patriotic Americans who support democracy.

  24. I agree, there needs to be a victory strategy. But I feel that this language is in fact merely an attempt to justify not sending any aid at all, and that they are not genuine in their real intentions.

Biden should announce his intention that the victory strategy is to provide all necessary for Ukraine to liberate all the territory of Ukraine that Russia has seized since 2014. It is long past due that this goal be announced explicitly.

  25. WHO ARE THE REDS IN THIS ARTICLE? i’M GUESSING IT MUST BE THE REPUBLICANS. I DON’T WANT TO CLICK THE LINK.

  26. A victory strategy should be in place.. but the republicans are bad faith so fuck them.

A victory strategy is announcing that they have secretly been training two squads of F 35 pilots for the last year and they are now ready to deploy, along with 500 abrams and 1000 bradleys and every version of ATCMS.

  27. You’re quoting the title of the article, but the article is a lie. Only one “Congressman from the state of California, Mike Garcia” is mentioned here, not “THE REPUBLICANS”. One Congressman among 450 does not make policy for the party or the country.

  28. I see them blowing wind in their direction, but damn if they finally pushed Biden to name victory as goal and start achieving it, that’s would be… fantastic!

Because his current “neither ruzia nor Ukraine should win” is an absolute bullshit of stupid coward, which eventually would only lead to ruzian victory and probably WW3…

  29. As a conservative imo if anyone deserves it, it’s fucking ukraine. Israel don’t need shit from us. *spelling

  30. “Victory strategy “ Ukraine has no way to beat Russian. This war already cost the U.S3x what gwot cost. What do we get from this? More debt and the most corrupt nation in the world gets rich.

  31. The Republicans are compromised. If you share a victory strategy with them, one of them would go straight to Putin.

  32. The US, for 3 months, has been supplying only ammunition. It makes sense, at first, resume full-fledged assistance, and only then expect answers to predominantly correct questions.

Some questions, like about victory strategy, should have been asked at the beginning of the war.
