Today I received Iodine tablets (supposedly) from the government. Did anyone else receive some? Should I be worried about a nuclear incident?

  1. I received mine last week. This is normal for those of use that live within a certain radius of a nuclear plant. Just stick them in a cabinet and wait for instructions in the event of a nuclear accident. It is just a precaution and getting pills like this, or a paper to get them at a pharmacy, has been the normal thing for a long time.

  2. All the info; https://iodinetablets.ch

Tldr, no need to be worried any degree above normal, also it isn’t in case of nuclear war as only households near nuclear power plants get them.

They protect the thyroid gland from radioactive iodine by saturating the body with non radioactive iodine.

  3. Normal, every 10 years people living near an atomic reactor get them shipped in case of emergency.

  4. you should always worry about a nuclear incident

  5. Slightly less worried than before you received your new set of iodine tablets.

  6. I’ve received it too, I thought there was a mistake somewhere someone and I trashed it 😂😅
Hopefully there will be no nuclear war cause I don’t have my tablets anymore

  7. It’s the first thing they send as soon as a nuclear missile has been launched. Normal procedure.

  8. “Supposedly”? Nah.. they’re tracking chips made by bill gates disguised as iodine pills. Vaccine included.. throw them away

  9. still waiting for my package…shall put it with the red vine and vodka :p
