Poor trees.
I hope some of the trees are ok
Damn, those fireball disguises are indistinguishable from the real deal!
Their cover is *blown*…
Not to change the subject, but I am genuinely curious where you were taught to use the term “direction” in this context. I have noticed that it is consistent among English-as-a-second-language native-Ukrainian war coverage, but it is definitely not the term a native English speaker would use in this context. I would say “sector” or “area”, but with my military background I would just say “AO”, for “Area of Operations”. Sector seems more appropriate to me though, somehow, but I don’t speak Ukrainian.
Again, just curious! I hear this term a lot and I can’t tell if people are just copying the first person who said it, and it just stuck, or if there is some longer tradition of saying it this way.
That looked like a legit barrage from a single Western artillery system – four rounds on target within 100m of target (assume it is the trees) within 9 seconds.
That is quite the thorough artillery strike.
Poor trees.
I read the title as: “disguise their tanks as the trees.”
I’m not disappointed I clicked but I’m not as excited as I thought I was going to be.
Either way those trees got fucked.
