Kate Forbes says she kept all ‘relevant’ messages from during the pandemic, and handed them to Covid Inquiry. When asked about her former boss, Nicola Sturgeon, she says ‘I think it’s incumbent on all of us to give an account of our own actions’

  1. The 20 sec video is worth watching. You can see the glee as she mentions she has all the receipts.

  2. One shouldn’t read much into a 20 second clip.

    But.

IF – IF – she has records (whether WhatsApp, email, screenshots, etc.) which contradict the prior statements of Sturgeon, Robson, Humza, et al, then the latter are in hot water. It will be resignation time.

The SNP have, thus far, been able to behave in a less than transparent manner and get away with it. Obfuscation and lies over ferries and steel plants is one thing – Covid would be quite another.

  3. I’d hope that they’re able to recover the messages. However, I’m not significantly persuaded that there’ll be a “smoking gun” amongst any of the messages.
