Another embarrassment for the CPS and government. Vast sums of money spent trying to convict climate protesters only for it to backfire yet again. They can pass anti-protest laws but what’s the point when ultimately the jury can simply overrule them and choose to acquit anyway?
“Repression” not only of climate protestors but of journalists being jailed and wrongly having the Terrorism Act used against them to circumvent PACE when there’s no evidence of a crime. Imprisonment without sentence, conviction or prospect of release..

That’s a higher top end of sentencing than rape or killing people with cars.
