  1. **The current interval is 14-20 October. Unfortunately I can’t edit the title.**

    Check maps for previous intervals:

Because of Romania’s death count growth I have to modify the color scale each week.

Lots of people complained about Belarus data being fake, so I remove it. Their officials have reported 12 deaths / million for the past 7 days.

I couldn’t find data for Kosovo. If there is an official source, please let me know

  2. Many of the numbers seem quite low—how many people died of influenza or common cold (or complications from them) in the same time period?

  3. I’m gonna tell you an inside scoop as a citizen of Bucharest: you haven’t seen the worst of it, yet. Hospitals are down, people that are gravely ill have to wait a minimum of 5 days for a place (if they survive for that long) and policians fight among themselves on who to steal more. The winter is coming, indeed.

  4. In Greece we didn’t die when the outbreak happened, we die now that there’s a vaccine out there and there’s no reason to lose more lives.

    Because Greece..

  5. Since we’re the current champions I think it’s fair that we choose what the colour should be for 200 deaths for next week’s map. We’ll go with dark blue.

  6. As a Bulgarian, I can confirm that my fellow countrymen operate on the following philosophy:

It takes a brave person to fight death.

  7. No joke, we have anti-fascism protests in Bulgaria, because we finally got the green certificate requirements. Working with foreigners my whole life and life as an upper middle class felt great, but I have finally started to doubt what am I doing in this society, it doesn’t match my values or even common sense at all. It’s the first time I think it’s time to immigrate. We are at 20% vaccination rate and we have been donating/selling the vaccines for months now, because nobody wants them, probably 1/4 of those are fake btw, people literally pay money to go to their family doctor, get fake vaccinated ( the doctor throws it away ), this amazing privilege goes for around 150-250 euros. It’s also really hard to prove. They only caught doctors who vaccinated 500 people in 10 different areas in a day on paper, because its physically impossible.

  8. Romanian here. I am 18 yo and have covid rn. I had some bad days with chest pain and lots of sleepy/tired moods. My parents have covid too and they are doing a little bit worse.
And parents and other people are still against the vaccine. It’s so fucking upsetting. The covid cases are growing in Romania and people still find conspiracy theories against the vaxx. Anything but not be on the side of science.
I am not vaxxed. I turned 18 in august and before i couldn’t get my doses because my dad didn’t allowed me. Then after being 18 i didn’t got my shots because my dad promised to keep shaming me every single day for my decision.

And i am juat here crying because my covid can get worse anytime and i don’t have immunity. My parents refuse to give me the medicine from out doctor. They just give me vitamins and minerals. Oh , and natural antibiotics , but those didn’t help me too much (1 week of quarantine just passed).

My dad is just crying all day about how they force us to get vaxxed. He keeps crying that out country is “enslaved” and we are manipuled etc. This is what he talks about all day. He even had plans to move to a country where people are “free”.

Next year in september i have to move in another city because of faculty. I can’t wait to leave. I live with a crazy conspirationist who just complains all day like an old man. He have been doing this for 1 year (since the pandemy started).
