  1. Almost like they have a vested interest in perpetuating the housing crises.

Would they be objecting if they were in power?

  2. Can’t build affordable and social housing in case it affects the view of other people in social housing. Remind me again how SF will supposedly solve the housing crisis.

  3. >In his most recent letter to the council, Mr Ó Snodaigh welcomed new proposals for the site to be social and affordable housing.

    >A Sinn Féin spokesperson said: “As stated in Deputy Ó Snodaigh’s planning observation, this proposal is not in line with Dublin’s current Development Plan, which states that there must be a minimum of 15pc three-bedroom or large apartments in a development of this size.”

I mean that’s not an insane complaint to have (if that’s true idk I haven’t read the Development Plan). The “shadowing” thing sounds a bit bollocks tho lol

  4. Post at 75% at time of writing, SF supporters just cannot handle it.

This guy in particular is awful and is one example of politicians that give SF an bad image. They really need to get rid of people like this if they want to be taken more seriously.

  5. Textbook example of a nimby.

He talks a good game but when it comes down to it he’s just like the rest.

  6. Anyone who’s going to vote SF because think they will solve the housing crisis please note this.

  7. “Shadowing” houses is beyond a ridiculous reason for objecting to housing. By it’s very definition, it makes it borderline impossible to ever build above 3 or 4 storeys, and if Ireland should have learned anything over the last 30+ years, it’s that sporadically spread low rise housing estates from D2 and D2 out to eternity does not and will not work.

  8. At what point is this all FF/FG fault when active *opposition* members are opposing housing as well?
