Labdien!

I am a freelancer engineer now living in Latvia for work purposes and currently registered in Spain as self-employed. My main issue is that living in Latvia, I cannot put some of my monthly expenses in the accountability so I pay taxes for money that I already spent. I think that this happen a lot to self employed people.

My question is, is it worth to register as a self employed in Latvia? How much are the taxes for the income? I found this page: [https://kalkulatori.lv/en/self-employed](https://kalkulatori.lv/en/self-employed) and doing some math I get something around 50% of taxes, is that correct?

In Spain I pay around 20% for the income and also an anual tax.

I saw also that Estonia have low taxes for self employed, this is real?

Finally, I was thinking of opening a company in some tax-free countries, like Malta, Cyprus, etc. Did someone did that?

Thank you very much!
