Now we get more articles about how islamophobia is epidemic in Europe and that we all need to capitulate to better ways.
Finally terrorism is now illegal
Meaning what exactly?
Well, that’s that then.
The Palestine-Israel issue is resolved.
Sort of unrelated, but seeing the European reaction to the Hamas terror attacks and anti-Semitic attacks on Jews in Europe recently, is pretty amazing.
My grandparents were Holocaust survivors, and so growing up on their stories always made me skeptical about how antisemitism is part of European society – put seeing the general reaction to it as part of European society I’m sure I was wrong.
The lessons your new generations took from the Holocaust and how you memorialize it – from making memorials in every European capital to lack of passiveness to attacks such as these- is pretty heart warming and makes us feel not alone
I don’t see why openly supporting Hamas should be any different from openly supporting ISIS.
Every single European country should prosecute people supporting Hamas. This is not something new, Hamas is a designated terrorist organisation. Law enforcement simply needs to do its job.
People who want to support and protest for Palestine need to show they unequivocally condemn Hamas and vet/screen their fellow protestors. That means having anti-Hamas flags & banners, seeing anti-semitic people being kicked out of protests, not using the “From the river..” slogan, etc.
That is the way to gain sympathy for the Palestinian cause.
However something tells me the reason why we haven’t seen the above is because the anti-Semitism is a widespread closeted and deep-rooted issue. Doing the above would mean going against the extremist/anti-Semitic views of friends, family and/or far-leftist extremists.
That doesn’t happen and we can see result on the streets of European cities.
It’s already classified as a terrorist group. Surely terrorist activities were already banned?
