Free As A Bird was a stronger and much more upbeat final song.

Not a fan but that’s a nice song.
I like it! But it’s not their best song.
I had a lot of trouble listening to David Bowie’s final album. It came out just as he was dying or just died and it was clear from the first couple of songs that he new he was dying. It was heartbreaking and I couldn’t bear it.
If this song was released the same week Lenin was killed, and it became apparent that he ways dying or knew he was going to die, I think I would have the same problem.
The song just sounds like the end. Perhaps sir Paul or sir Richard know something that they aren’t sharing… but it does feel very fitting for the last Beatles song.
