I would hope at this point it is a joint effort between Taiwan and Ukraine. Taiwan supplies the chips and Ukraine the rest, or some combination based on who has what that is needed.I can envision Chinese troop ships tying to land troops on Taiwan’s shores getting sunk by sea babies.
It’s a much better investment of a limited defense budget than the expensive frigates which can be taken out with one anti-shipping missile, or the expensive fighter aircraft that are based from a handful of strips that can be cratered.
They should have a giant sea drone base inside of a mountain with a network of underwater entrances that can’t be seen from the surface.
They’d be dumb not too and they can produce en masse.

Taiwan has long needed to shift to a [porcupine strategy](https://tnsr.org/2021/12/a-large-number-of-small-things-a-porcupine-strategy-for-taiwan/): large numbers of small weapons systems. ATGMs, MANPADSs, land-based anti-shipping missile, drones that can launch from fields and rooftops.
