  1. This story is the one that came back to me when people talked about for example, Deliveroo drivers swinging a padlock at teens who tried to start on them.

There’s this idea put forth that “ah sure they’re kids like”.

Regardless of the age, height or build of the person assaulting you, you have absolutely no way to know what weapon potentially they’re going to pull on you and I honestly believe you should have every right to assume the worst when being assaulted and do whatever to defend yourself.

Again, a 14 year old stabbed her in the neck, while she was walking home from work. You can’t assume that just because it’s a teen, that they can’t do you harm.

  2. **Grounds of appeal**

At the Court of Appeal in July, Michael O’Higgins SC, representing the teenager, contended that the trial judge Mr Justice Tony Hunt erred in permitting the prosecution to call evidence of another attempted robbery by the appellant and of comments made during that offence, which took place shortly after the fatal assault.

Mr O’Higgins also submitted that the jury should have been discharged following a comment made by prosecuting counsel Seán Guerin SC during his opening address that the teenager “went for the jugular” when he stabbed Ms Tserendorj.

In addition, Mr O’Higgins submitted that the trial judge erred in admitting into evidence a hearsay account of the assault given by the deceased to her husband, and counsel further submitted that the trial judge displayed an attitude that was negative towards the appellant and inappropriate in light of the fact that he was a child.

    Counter-argument

    He’s a murdering cunt

  3. Good news. Throw away the key. I sincerely hope that he does an old man in jail, there’s no way he should escape paying a price for what he did.

    A life for a life.

  4. Good but the grim fact remains this waster will probably be out again sometime in his late 20s with his life ahead of him.
