  1. Trump just went on Truth and said he would put Cannon on Supreme Court. I believe he just got her thrown off case. Bribing judges and quid pro quos going on here with his statements. I believe he just totally screwed up.

    EDIT- It looks like someone has photoshopped the Truth. It isn’t a real one apparently. I wasn’t purposefully trying to spread misinformation. Just saw it and assumed it was real because this is definitely something I can see him doing. Apologies

    If we can see a clear pattern of abuse in the justice system, just deny them the ability to do so on those very grounds.

    Trump has a storied history regarding pointless delay designed to either run out legal clocks or bleed his opponents dry.

  10. The sad thing is that I’ve sort of given up on that docs case. Cannon is so obviously trying to help Trump that I have no expectation he’ll see any real consequences for this serious crime.

    I’ve put my hopes in DC and GA for now. By the time his docs case happens, he’ll hopefully have already been convicted in one or both of the other two. It’s frustrating because they have overwhelming evidence against him and what he did was so fucking dangerous. It’s insane to me that a federal judge is bending over backwards to run interference for him.

  16. Warn all they want there is nothing that will be done about it. Our system is ridiculous, the President not only appoints his own AG while in office they can have their own appointees preside over their criminal cases.

  17. I don’t understand why the Defense actually needs to review the 1.2 million classified documents since the content of them is irrelevant. The documents were already classified, that is not debatable to reduce the number of charges against him.

  18. Question for you legal folks in here – what options, if any, does Jack Smith have in this case? Is there a scenario to get a new judge appointed?

  20. I’m pretty sure a “billionaire” can hire enough defense lawyers as he needs. If not, public defenders are available.

  23. I’m amazed that the DOJ doesn’t have *some* procedure for removing a biased judge from a case. Being a judge in a case involving who appointed them should automatically be considered a bias.

  34. I can’t help but think that it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Trump sold documents to Saudi Arabia containing Israeli defense intelligence that was given to Hamas that lead to the Oct 7th event, and this lady is doing her best to help him get away with it.
