  1. Euphoria fans are going to have to wait a little longer for the third season of the teen drama.

HBO chief Casey Bloys said Thursday at a presentation in New York City that the Sam Levinson drama won’t return until 2025. The same news was shared about the return of The Last of Us.

In an August interview with Elle, Levinson described Season 3 as a “film noir” and teased that Zendaya‘s character of a recovering addict would “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”

Euphoria is set in the fictional town of East Highland, California, who seek hope while balancing the strains of love, loss, and addiction. The series is based on an Israeli show of the same name created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin.

The third season of the series has been delayed and the forthcoming season will inevitably have some major changes. Angus Cloud, who played the role of Fez, died unexpectedly and it’s unclear how the show will handle the loss.

Barbie Ferreira also announced last year that she would step away from the show and wouldn’t return for the third season. Earlier this year, Ferreira opened up about the reasons she had for leaving the show citing she didn’t want to be known as the “fat friend.”

In a conversation with Dax Shepherd on his Armchair Expert podcast, she explained that she didn’t think there was a place for her character, Kat, to go.

“I think there were places she could have gone. I just don’t think it would have fit into the show,” she in an interview on the Armchair Expert podcast. “I don’t know if it was going to do her justice, and I think both parties knew that I really wanted to be able to not be the fat best friend. I don’t want to play that, and I think they didn’t want that either. I would have played her for as long as I was asked to.”

  2. Can’t wait to watch the now 35 year old high school seniors

  3. But why when I can look at a bunch of floppy penises right now

  4. The first season and its two specials were meaningful. Season 2 and all the shit about its creator (also the idol), I’m out.

  5. Darn…. Angus Cloud was a big reason why I enjoyed this show. I hope they can do it justice.

  6. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say they should probably quit while they’re on top. I’m prepared to be wrong, but how much more can they squeeze outta this story?

  7. I won’t even care by than. I watched the first two seasons and I know by the time 3 comes around I’ve given up.

  8. So wouldn’t this mean her schedule is booked and can’t film for Spider-Man 4 unless it’s a pls a small role

  9. God damn as if the world couldn’t be worse than it already is

  10. It’s going to be a tough getting the motivation to watch this without Angus, but I guess if it’s the final season to wrap up the story I’ll watch.

  11. I got undoubtedly shit on for saying the show would be back. Fuck you all

  12. The closet thing to this show that happened at my high school was that a pretty popular girl had a train ran on her.

And it wasn’t just a rumor. The receipts had our suburb going nuts.

  13. Who’s gonna even know what the hell is going on in two more years. By that point i won’t remember shit. And I’m not gonna rewatch before. There gonna lose a lot of viewers. Same thing with Stranger Things. 3 plus years in between seasons is beyond ridiculous.

  14. lol I like the show, but ain’t no way I’m going to care about it in 2025

  15. There’s only two reasons to watch this show and Sydney Sweeney still has both of them

  16. Introducing a new character, played by the Weeknd, and music scored entirely by Troye Sivan.
