  2. New Monkey / Blue Monkey tapes were a form of currency at schools in Sunderland. Think the first kid who got a CD writer did fairly well out of it.

  4. I’m not from the area and missed out on the actual events at the time, but I made a living designing posters and flyers for raves/club events for a while, and some of the old dreamscape artwork were a great source of inspiration to me at the time (albeit some years after they’d finished).

    I’ve just started reading the autobiography of Terry Turbo (the guy who organised those dreamscape raves), who started out flyering, so hoping he mentions something about the artwork (haven’t got that far yet).

  5. I make hardcore that sounds like it’s from this era. These tape pack are my life blood. Where’s the Edge tapes at though?

  6. Are you from up north? It feels familiar along with Bass Generator tapes.
