Went there as a 16 year old. Later in college I was offered a job at the castle below, but I could not get a work visa. One very disappointed young man. 😢 Now, as I prepare to retire, one of my goals is to go back, and maybe I can volunteer this time. I’d like to spend a summer around there, maybe Hohenschwangau Castle can use an older volunteer groundskeeper. 🤓
