And were ordered to pay just 1.5k in compensation.
I hope the home owners drag them all into civil court for the full 300.
Oddly seen various stories about the Isle Of Wight and kids going mental there recently. Not like “knocking and running” or kicking daffodils, like proper serious crimes. I wonder if it’s some kind of collective mental condition, combination of the past few years and the odd isolation of the place?
But I was assured in the other thread that it was a political protest against the housing crisis and second home owners?
[removed] – I think by association, you can guess what I think about these kids.
They should have been forced to pay the damages in full.
>His dad told the Mail he still has not apologised, adding: ‘I know in his own way he is sorry, but he has never said it to me.
>‘I know he will not do anything like this again and has not been in any trouble since last year. He has behaved.’
Maybe make him realise the impact of his actions and he would.
I knew the dad was going to be a useless layabout who would make excuses.
I am surprised he didn’t say “Our Hayden’s a good boy but is easily led by his friends!” and “He’s a cheekie chappie but has a heart of gold!”
I feel like we need to unleash these kids on all the empty second homes that are killing seaside towns an villages.
Send him to the French foreign legion for ten years he will come back a better person
What did they think the police/owners would say?
Ohhhhh, right Haunted! Well in that case, yeah, no problem….. completely understandable! Thanks for trashing it.

Someone this stupid shouldn’t be having kids in the first place. All of them should be taken off the parents and put into care. They clearly haven’t been able to install the most basic lesson of, “don’t act like a fucking animal”
Why would spooky ghosts mean they have to trash it ?
I opened the article with an open mind but its even worse than you think. Kid is unapologetic and used chainsaws to destroy the house. Useless parents.
Little shits should be put to work repairing the place
Upon reading the article it becomes clear that the home owners were in fact, through their own negligence, hosting the ghost of an angry and vengeful maidservant and the boy assembled something akin to a band of vigilante exorcists and bravely went about ridding the island of this chaotic evil once and for all which very possibly might be the cause of all other reports of juvenile crime sprees.
In this economy I’ll live with ghosts rather than on the street, hopefully they are Casper type but hey beggars can’t be choosers.
On the one hand I think ‘boo hoo, some millionaires second home was vandalised by kids’
But on the other hand – holy shit the extent. they used CHAINSAWS and tried arson etc, its all way to excessively violent
Surprise surprise, deadbeat dad makes up more excuses for being a deadbeat dad
Pretty much everywhere on the IOW has a ghost story attached!
Why do papers still list the price of homes as if that has meant anything for the past 10 years.
I don’t know why no one is seeing the kids trashing the house as a *good* thing. The place was HAUNTED!!!!
The kids are cunts and the parents are even cuntier for not wearing a condom.
I am so sick of this kind of journalist.
Title: Day says son did x because of y
Article: has said they **might** have targeted the house because it is haunted.
Massive difference when applied to anything.
Then add that the article itself contains no pictures of the property, and that the first hyperlink links to almost the same story a day earlier.
I know it’s only the Metro, but this trend of having peoples *opinions* of something become news is slowly turning into those *opinions* being *fact* in the headline.
