FDP falls below the 5% threshold, AFD still the second biggest party.

  1. It’s troubling that the governing coalition now just represents roughly a third of voters. Germans are really unhappy with this government, although for a bunch of different reasons.

  2. People want Germany to stop supporting Ukraine. Bitter pill to swallow for this sub but it is a reality. You can connect this to immigrants, culture wars etc. Meanwhile there are people who concerned about that, it is not the main concern for Average Joe here . 10-11 percent of voters are anti-immigrant and bunch the real voter base of AFD the other half is Anti war, protest bunch. There is literally no other than AFD wants to stop war. There is new extreme left party it is gonna shock many people and will take half of the AFD votes. People will vote them because they are angry. What a disaster from Greens, people expected some much from them but they were the fifth column that is ruled directly from Washington. Hawkish speeches, agressive war mongering, most of their voters are anti-war,progressive people.

  3. Poland turning Center-Left while Germany turning hard-right. Who would have thought? Not looking forward to new German elections if that continues.

  4. Damn, AFD stands so high? Guess if a governing party keeps making radical mistakes, the voters will eventually turn to radical parties

  5. The Greens didn’t loose any percentage and are still at 14%
Meanwhile the FDP who lost ~10% are saying that the Greens are at fault for the current government crisis

    Hmm, something doesn’t add up🤔

  6. For everyone saying that “noone would ever form a government with the AfD”
Don’t be so sure about that. The CDU have become increasingly radical and are even more corrupt than they used to be.

The party’s election programm overlaps in a number of areas and their voters share a similar mindset a la “The Greens are ideologues who ban everything and want to ruin Germany and the SPD is a party full of incompetent communists.”
    – I wish I was joking, but sadly that’s how it is right now.

(btw, i don’t fully support any of the German parties, but I can assure you that voting for criminals or extremists ain’t the right thing to do, lads)

  7. When will a new party finally emerge from “Andere” to loosen up the political structure?

  8. I’m not too familiar with German politics, what kind of party is Union?

  9. it’s really worrying that over 20% of our country are voting for a party where half the politicians have Nazi flags.in their basement

  10. As a German, let me just say that these polls have become just as unreliable as they have become in other nations. The AfD always scores big in them and then, come election time, they don’t get nearly as much as these polls tell us they would get.

This isn’t very surprising as well. We had 16 years under Merkel, during which, apart from a few crisis, nothing much changed. Surpluses were not used, investments deferred, a lot of the problems we still have today weren’t addressed while the groundwork was laid for a lot of other problems we have today (mostly also by doing nothing).

Then people vote for all the other parties, which are forced to form a coalition between the SPD, the center left party that used to have just as large a vote share as the Union, the Greens and the FDP, a party that is largely opposed to anything the Greens want. That government is then headed by a man who doesn’t seem to understand that just continuing as a male Merkel doesn’t work and that we need a government that is actively lead.

After the last two state elections he has now seemingly woken up and decided to do something about the refugee problem (Basically: we don’t distinguish enough between economic refugees and “real” refugees and even when we do, we are often unable to send the first group back, so that they take space from the refugees fleeing war, prosecution and terror. Our refugee handling capacities are completely overwhelmed and even Green politicians at the local level complain about that (they are usually refugee friendly, independent of what type of refugee)).

But I doubt that Scholz will get anything done. After the Ukraine war began, we had this big Zeitenwende and till now, NOTHING has been done and our army is still a fucking joke that couldn’t defend against an invasion from Liechtenstein

  11. Habe nicht mitgewählt aber das zeigt das in der nächsten Regierung keine Grünen und keine FDP mehr dabei ist!
    Rechts wird immer stärker!

  12. FDP below 5 percent threshold is where they belong but over 50% for the other two parties advocating corruption is beyond me.

  13. Confederation in Poland also polled quite a bit higher than they actually got votes in the election, so I will treat this poll with the same grain of salt. In any case, bad energy policy is coming to haunt Germany and it would have hurt whichever government was in power when the chickens came home to roost.

  15. Why is the blue so high up vs green and so near to black when they should be at the same distance??

  16. There you can see where its going to go after the next election.

    Christian-Fascist coalition.

    Great 👌🏻
