It’s absolutely disgusting that his sentence was reduced because she “was rendered unconscious early on” and therefore no additional suffering could be proved.

this is an emotive one that has been reduced because the trial judge didn’t apply the law correctly.
he’s still going to be like 55 when he gets out if he serves the minimum sentence. He’ll have no friends in the outside world and his parents will likely be dead by then too.
Imagine being the scum bag solicitor that says to this guy “I reckon we can carve a couple years off your sentence. I’m happy to represent you and make a cheeky few £10000s off the department of justice in the process”.
Another heartbreaking result for women to hold the murderers rapists abusers accountable when they will just get the minimum 😪
