Monument to king charles his best friend who made sure he never spent a day in jail.
The ‘monument’ being a small part of the big new house he wants to build there, for which he has already had permission refused, as the steel and glass construction is TOTALLY out of keeping with the stunning setting of Glencoe. Loads of the locals objected, including the local Mountain Rescue Team that Hamish was a member of. Call me a cynic, but not quite the philanthropic gesture its painted as I think? PR spin……
