I have been granted a KVG exemption (woohoo!) from mandatory health insurance in Switzerland for my studies, but what now? Am I good to go or do I still need to get some basic form of health insurance, like Swisscare?
Many thanks in advance for help, I’ve been struggling to figure out the health insurance situation here for international students!

The document says that you already have equivalent insurance, which is the main requirement for an exemption:
>Wir wir Ihren Unterlagen entnehmen können, besteht für die Behandlung in der Schweiz ein gleichwertiger Versicherungsschutz.
In general: You definitely need a health insurance, either Swiss KVG, or, with an exemption, another insurance that covers the same things. For your own good.
