__Urgent shipping costs fundraiser – SOS Save our Shipping Speedrun__
—
Will has another critical request for us.
But first thanks to everybody for your great participation – in particular also to the amazon wishlist fundraiser. Indeed the participation was so good, which is amazing, that it now causes some little problems, we need to solve – in particular for Will and the volunteer in the US who is the hub for shipping the donated products to Ukraine. The original plan was, that primarily the Hub and Will will stem the shipping costs themselves, but because of the high number of donations via the wishlist that’s not really possible anymore without ruining them (which we don’t want – they already spent so much from their own wallets) or taking some money from the donorbox for shipping costs.
So let _us_ help them out – and let’s do it fast, and free the money from the _fight the frost donorbox_ fully for additional goods bought in Ukraine! Will is still there for a short while, and if the money is freed (meaning the shipping costs are covered with this special speedrun fundraiser), he can order and supply additional needed winter gear directly in Ukraine to the soldiers.
No donation is too small – everything helps to reach the target quickly 🙂
Also a great shoutout to Will, who is in the middle of the warzone to get our donations there and help the soldiers, to the unnamed people in the US helping as hubs, receiving the goods and repacking and sending them further to Ukraine, and to all the people helping in other ways to keep this going!
I’ll give the word to Will now:

_Hi everyone, Volunteer Will here to provide you an update on where things are at._
_Firstly, as always, thank you. I can’t say it enough, and I won’t ever get tired of saying it. Thank you. When we had our first cold snap here in the Donbas, it was terrible to talk with the defenders and just see them cold. Not uncomfortably cold, but painfully cold. I don’t think I can put into words how crap it feels to have people you care about explain a situation to you where you can do nothing. I had no gloves to give, no quality winter socks to give, nothing. We had long since given out our hand warmers from the last fundraiser and we were scraping the bottom of the barrel. It sucked, y’all. Plain and simple._
_So, we put the call out and you and the Fellas at NAFO answered, and wow, did you all step up._
_You all stepped up so hard, we utterly failed to anticipate how much we were going to have to ship. Our last medical drive? We shipped 3 boxes that had an insane amount of medical supplies. Surely, we thought, 6 boxes at the most for this fundraiser. LOL_
_11 boxes. That’s how much stuff we got, and Every. Single. Item. Has been desperately needed. I tried putting what we have together for a photo, but I’ve got to tell y’all, that’s not even half of it. The other half is gone and in the hands of defenders. So, that photo is just what we have left, and we are waiting on three more (and final) boxes to arrive right now._
_Which brings me to the core of this post. We need help with shipping. Total shipping has been just at $2,000 USD total. We’ve had a few folks step up and help split expenses, but it’s really taking a toll on our Fight the Frost Donorbox. Right now we have $750 worth of shipping expenses remaining, so we are asking for your help._
_You all have been heroes in buying Ukraine’s defenders things for winter. We had a soldier’s winter gear stolen, which we were able to mostly replace. We had a soldier without what he needed, which we were able to buy. We had dozens and dozens of soldiers with nothing at all, which we were able to provide for. Now we need your help with getting it here. Please, if you can, consider contributing to this last fundraiser so we can use our Fight the Frost donations to purchase more winter items here in Ukraine._

_Thank you for caring enough to donate. Thank you for caring enough to even read this. My gratitude to each and every one of you is endless, and I wish I could say more to explain that, but I feel I’d just be repeating myself. Take care, be well, and as they say here, may your skies be peaceful._
