I think they might need to be more specific, Israel has struck locations in the neighborhood they call Jabalia refugee camp a half dozen times since this began:
They also launched a ground offensive with infantry and tanks and captured what the IDF described as a Hamas stronghold described as being in western Jabalia, what I’m guessing was the western edge near the IDF foothold.
You mean the refugee camp that has existed for more than 50 years? The refugee camp that is a city and not a tent encampment. It is NOT a refugee camp. It is an area full of buildings in far northern Gaza that the IDF ordered evacuated weeks ago. More crocodile tears from Hamas about Palestinian civilians being killed; if they cared so much maybe they would have let them evacuate to the south.
>The House member added Democrats are preliminarily discussing measures to penalize Israel should it not change course, such as “actual enforcement of existing human rights vetting.”
I assume that the Administration is using an anonymous Democrat member of Congress to say out loud things it doesn’t yet want to say as official U.S. policy.
It’s a direct accusation that Israel is not currently “actually enforcing existing human rights vetting”, whatever that means.
Probably gonna ask about the ambulance in Gaza City too. . .

*Israel’s response*
” ¯_(ツ)_/¯ “
Probably tracked the phone of some Hamas dude and sent a rocket there.
Think the worst part of this conflict is seeing people tying themselves in knots over justifying the actions of the side they support (directly and indirectly)… when both sides are turning out to be equally horrible.
“Hamas was there.”
“Understandable. As you were, then.”
Does anyone else find it weird that the IDF and their intelligence was completely blindsided by the attack and no idea, and yet they have up to date intel on every hamas fighter?
lol we dunno – Israel probably.
US needs stop proving any aid until they answer any and all questions.
Why is it still called a refugee camp?
Hamas installation = getting bombed, what’s to explain…
Israel: Shut up and write me another check.
We can’t give Israel a clean slate to just slaughter Palestinians. Not only is it clearly immoral it also destroys US credibility and soft power in the region
There are only so many bridges you can burn
The US Administration’s transparent yet unsuccessful attempts at playing both sides are looking stupider by the day.
They’ll say, “Blah blah terrorists” and that’ll satisfy the US for a few days
And the answer is “we do what we want, why you asking stupid questions” Amusing watching this global media PR spin.
“Refugee camp”
🤦♀️
Something interesting to note, Palestinian refugee camps have really weird status when that refugee status is hereditary and you can be refugee because your great grandfather was. Only people on earth who’s refugee-status is transferred to their descendants indefinitely. That’s why their cities that were built in the 40’s to house refugees of ethnic cleansing are still called refugee camps, while Israeli cities built at the same time to house even more refugees of ethnic cleansing, are just cities.
[UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) defines Palestinian refugees as “persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine during the period 1 June 1946 to 15 May 1948, and who lost both home and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 conflict.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_refugee_camps)
Not saying bombing refugee camps is not wrong, it absolutely is. Same as hiding behind civillians and ripping out water pipes and other infrastructure in order to make rockets for killing Jews.
Israel values civilian lives no more than Hamas. The only difference is they get to murder with American kit and have the benefit of western government’s being too pussy to criticise their actions over fears of Amti-Semitism. It’s the perfect scrunity free card and enables to act with disturbing levels of impunity. The whole situation is fucked.
Israel: “There was a Hamas HQ under the refugee camp; look we made a whole PowerPoint about it.”
