I can save the UN the bother. They absolutely will renege, it’s already been paid for by Tory party donors.
Let’s not forget the UN demands the UK give up Gibraltar and the Falklands.

Unless the UN wants to fund the transition fee then they can go fuck themselves. The UN does nothing but curtail the UK and the problems of climate change are going to be their problem long before it is our problem.
They need to learn to compromise and negotiate instead of making demands from a position of weakness. The UN already compromises itself by giving recognition and power to autocrats and terrorists, i am sure they can compromise with real countries.
If only the UN cared as much about countries producing above 1% of global CO2 emissions, or the many countries with rising emissions rather than exclusively berating liberal western countries who already have the fastest falling emissions.
Edit: I don’t mean this as an excuse for us to do nothing of course, or worse deny climate change as some making such accusations.
The UN holds less power than a village council, and exists primarily to make unimportant countries feel important and prevent others from glassing each other to oblivion.
It’s essentially a pub with privileges for certain patrons but without any drink yet some attendees say the most ludicrous things
The UN is not a serious entity. It’s a political talking shop used by countries in furtherance of their political interests. It has zero credibility as a neutral and expert world organisation.
