Changing Brussels Neighborhood Tries to Leave Stigma of Terrorism Behind

  1. I Wish them the best of luck, but changing that neighbourhood will take decades and a shocking amount of money.

I passed through there a few times (when i was still living in Brussels) and it always felt like the most rundown and depressing area I’ve seen (so far) in Belgium.

That place needs billions upon billions of investments and i think Brussels simply doesn’t have the money for that (aren’t they defacto bankrupt?). And i highly doubt Flanders or even Wallonia is interested in footing the bill for that.

Luckily however, the area does seem to have a lot of incredible people willing to improve the state of things regardless of the resources they get. If they do manage to change the area for the better, itll be one the biggest success stories this country has had

  2. Not to be an ass but maybe they should also stop acting like that there, I mean ask why public transport does not like to go there…. (I know this is not the entire population of Molenbeek but still).
