“I don’t understand what happened”: Khorenko says that he learned about his dismissal from the SSO from the media
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Viktor Khorenko “will continue to perform special tasks” as part of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The former commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Viktor Horenko, said that he did not know the reasons for his dismissal.
“I don’t know the reasons personally. I will say so, I learned about it from mass media. I spoke with the commander-in-chief (Valery Zaluzhny), who also could not explain it to me. Glavkom was supposed to make a corresponding submission, but he answered me that he did not do such a thing. I don’t understand what happened,” he said on the air of the talk show “Ukrainian Pravda”.
Khorenka is also unknown about his further activities, in particular at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
On November 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Viktor Horenko, who headed the Special Operations Forces in July 2022.
Zelenskyy appointed Colonel Serhii Lupanchuk as the new commander of the SSO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In an evening video message, Zelenskyi said that Viktor Khorenko “will continue to perform special tasks” as part of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
I hope the next is as good or better.
During ww2, the USA relieved numerous high ranking officers for one reason or another. Sometimes, shuffling the deck with a new set of eyes works out.
