I’m Jewish and in the US. We unfortunately allow people to burn flags here (wish we didn’t). I know to many a flag is just a flag that was probably made in China but seeing the Israeli flag burn to me is really hard to see and it has been happening a lot especially now. I would never think of burning the Palestinian flag and wouldn’t do it.
“Muslims living here are entitled to protection from right-wing extremist violence — and rightly so. When they are attacked, their right to protection must be honoured and they must also honour this right of the Jews now that the Jews have been attacked.”
This is important.

I know my fellow Jewish Americans are going through this. Just had a seder tonight with a shul and while most people there were Americans, there were Israelis, German Jews, South African Jews, French Jews, Iranian Jews, and Ethiopian Jews. A number of people were talking about not being able to get an Uber with their last name, got yelled at at convenience stores, and have been telling their college aged kids to avoid going to school or at least not leave their dorm or home when there’s a protest.
