  1. Mass deportation will solve the housing and crime issues rapidly.

  2. Screw Paris and move outside the city. Enough villages in France where the population has fallen and could use the influx of new blood.

“The same thing is happening in Amsterdam, with the average rent being over €1,500 per month, more than two times the median wage in the Netherlands.”

This is bullshit: Amsterdam is expensive and €1500 seems normal for a small apartment/room, however the minimum wage is almost €2000 a month and the median wage is about €3300 a month. The median wage is about 2 times the rent, and not the other way around. Someone earning median wage earns net about 2600 a month, and could pay for the apartment, however why would you do that if you can move 10km outside Amsterdam and you probably pay 500 less for a bigger house? Guess same for Paris.

  3. Unpopular Opinion: Housing should not be subject to speculation. Companies or individuals should not be allowed to hoard real estate expecting a rise in value in the future.

  4. We need a way to make housing affordable, without loan, but at the same time protect it from foreigners who would just buy everything. Capitalist is leading towards collapse. Europe needs to work for her citizens, not her bankers and 5 mega rich people who do not even pay taxes.

  5. It will be enough if they force owners to rent vacant houses. I heard that there are more than 100k vacant houses in Paris.

  6. I’m almost 30 but still had to ask my parents to sign a lease guarantee

  7. Taxes keep increasing while the working class gets recked every year.

Where is the money going? Who is using the public housing resources.
