This is a terrible idea and would benefit neither Zelenskyy nor Netanyahu. There is no benefit for anyone in linking the Ukraine and Gaza conflicts, and tons of downsides.
It would be a huge mistake for Zelensky to go there. He wanted to go in the first days when many civilians were killed to show our support to the people of Israel but they said it was the right time for everyone to visit but not for him. Now when Israel is bombing the shit out of everyone including hundreds of civilians they want him to “hey the Jewish president of the country supports us”. He definitely shouldn’t go. Fuck them especially after what the state-run Channel 11 has been saying about us.
This could be the biggest bromance of the decade. /s

If an Israeli attack on Iran ever happens. You can 100% bet that Ukrainians will remember the drones that Iran supplied to Russia.
I’m sure Ukraine will be more than happy to contribute in whatever way they can. Even if it’s just munitions deliveries or their own drone deliveries since they are getting so good at attaching payloads to things.
Shouldn’t Zelenskyy be visiting Hamas and Hamas affiliates, considering their struggles are very similar rather than the Israelis?
Israel in this case can be equated to Russia in its aggressive military actions in Ukraine. The premise of the invasion is similar.

I think it’s a mistake for Zelensky to link his country’s plight with Israel. I’m sure he has an eye on the US political context where aid for Israel is the “spoonful of sugar” that helps pro-Russian Republicans accept more aid to Ukraine. But in the much wider international context, this won’t be received well. Both countries are indeed facing threats from the Iran/Russia axis, but Israel/Palestine is a 70 year conflict with many other variables.
Why does Zelensky need to visit Isreal? It’s not like Ukraine is in a position to donate anything.

Wonder if the White House is jockeying a play to go around the US House. Israel and Ukraine have some mutual goals based on how Russia is positioned with Iran. The US house will always finance Israel, but because so many of the new GOP MAGA faction appear to be on a Russian payroll, they’re slow walking any aid to Ukraine. This may be a way to basically supercharge aid to Israel that US Congress has no tenable position to withhold funding, and split it amongst the IDF and Ukraine since they generally have a common enemy — even if it’s a couple of steps removed.
