Who cares… Anyone keeping track of the common cold infections?
If we would only decrease testing. I’m sure the numbers will go down then. /s
Hospitalizations are rising but slowly at the moment.
In a few months the new treatments should be available.
But with numbers doubling every week that will be too late.
I guess another lockdown by the end of this month…
With the amount of hospitalizations South Africa has had with Omicron I’m not against this new testing strategy and measures at all. The virus has mutated in a far less severe and far less lethal way, it’ll be a matter of protecting the older people (with a booster that will hopefully work) and letting the rest of the crowd gain herd immunity (with booster + inevitable infection).
If this is the way the virus is mutating then I foresee no more lockdowns in the future and opening everything up as normal will be realistic again.
