Scary to see that our Press can pressure life-saving charitable organisations like this into changing the way they work, with disastrous consequences. It will be the RNLI having to explain themselves now, despite the pressure being driven from elsewhere.

I don’t want to be that person but I’m from an ethnic background similar to the refugees who came on those boats. Two of my cousins did the same thing in Italy and they were the only two to survive somehow and ended up in the news in Italy.
They lied about being threatened by the guy who arranged for them to get on the lifeboats and the one who was supposed to help them get to Italy. This never happened, in reality they paid 10k (british pounds) each to some guy to arrange all of this and so did everyone else on that boat.
People who use lifeboats/small fishing boats know the dangers. They don’t do it because they’re desperate. They do it because they can afford to. You have to pay alot of money to these traffickers to get onto one of their boats.
I will never understand taking children and a pregnant woman on a lifeboat. That being said calling 999 isn’t going to help you at that point. They most likely would’ve called anyway and said they were forced to come by a trafficker and wouldve used the women and children to garner sympathy. I know this because my cousins did this and I know people from my parents village who do this.
So just be aware that alot of refugees that are coming in this way aren’t doing it because they’re desperate- these people have money. Especially if you see only men. You would think if the situation was so bad that they would take the most vulnerable with them and the men would stay because of the traditional values they uphold in those cultures. There’s news reports going around that the so called refugees arriving to the west are only their because they weren’t allowed into other countries close them because they had criminal records. This is true.
There’s also people that aren’t being affected in any way by political issues and will lie when they reach the UK and claim their dad is a general that was killed. They basically take the opportunity to leave their country and think in the UK they will have a better life. This happened in a certain South asian/central asian country not too long ago.
In a certain middle Eastern country they were offering alot more than just asylum and they took in alot of people from another middle Eastern country that was war torn. I thought it was weird that refugees were going to countries that weren’t offering them much over this country where there little to no difference culture and language so they’ll have no issues. Then I realised they wanted to go to the west because they thought they could live on benefits and not do any work. My cousins thought the same thing. They thought Italy was like the UK.

The best way to prevent these types of tragedies, is to stop them getting into these dangerous boats in the first place.
They’re only coming here to sponge off the tax payer. Maybe commit some sex crimes while they’re at it, fuck them.
France’s semi-official government policy has been to ignore ALL emergencies from illegals. Even to wait until they sail to the English side before calling the UK :
As it should’ve been months ago, it’s not our responsibility to take in aliens. Let every last one drown.
The Coastguard are the people who should be forcing boats to turn around, not helping the criminal gangs by giving migrants a free ride to their intended destination.
That’s sad but UK lifeguards shouldn’t prioritise people illegally sneaking into the country over the channel. Especially since it’s an established trick for these immigrants to pop their boats within sight of boats to force a rescue
