Ceasefire advocates need to demand the full release of these hostages, there is NO other way.
The international community must not let them down. Don’t advocate for a ceasefire before the release of the hostages.
What about those held indefinitely in Israel’s administrative military detention ? Both should be freed.
Don’t hold grudges against the families for the things they calculate they need to say and do now. If they hold a genuine grudge against the state that failed to defend those they love that is their right.
At the same time we owe the future a precedent set in these times that deters future hostage taking. Make October 7th mourned next year in Gaza instead of celebrated.
