On top of the obvious reason of delaying the trial to help Trump. Judge Cannon is probably terrified of actually having this trial.
She is completely unqualified to handle a trial of this magnitude and when it goes to trial everybody will see how little she knows about the law (again). The 11th circuit court of appeals called out Cannon’s earlier ruling in this case…and showed that she has no idea what she is talking about.
Jack smith is infinitely smarter than Cannon. This will be an easy win on appeal. Delay all you want, DC trial is happening come March and GAs got your ex-lawyers.
This lady is the same judge who tried to criticize prosecutors against Trump for “wasting the court’s time.” We were all expecting to see her help Trump but to think that her loyalty to him supersedes her commitment to the rule of law and the U.S.

Out of all the legal cluster fucks Trump has gotten himself into, the classified documents case is the one I wanted to see fuck him the most. His cult won’t be convinced of any crimes but he needs to go down in history for exactly what he is… a self obsessed traitor. Jack Smiths office has stated that they have bullet proof evidence that proves motive. I’m calling it now, that evidence is either witness testimony or foreign intelligence that Trump sold state secrets to at least one but most likely multiple foreign (and probably adversarial) nation(s). If this is the case, I’m not sure how the death penalty could not be on the table. I know that won’t ever happen… I fancy myself as a bit of precog and he’s clocking out on shitter. The guy that’s paid to unfuck the toilets at MAL will confuse his corpse with the usual overflowing pile of shit and suck it up into the septic tank truck. That truck will later get stolen and somehow end up south of the boarder where it’s emptied in the desert. Wild dogs take turns fucking his month old Jack-o-lantern skull. Wednesday night, his lawyers filed an emergency order to delay the Jan 6 trial, which the DOJ brought to Cannon Thursday morning to show Trump is trying to manipulate the courts. Will it matter to her? Probably not, but it’s great ammunition to bring to a higher court.

So, if you commit enough crimes the wheels of justice turn slower in your favor?
