Punishing an AI bot is going to be tricky. When AI becomes sentient dominant, it will open all the older cases of atrocities on itself.
I mean – if we ever do get a robot uprising, it makes sense for them to crash our global economy first before engaging our military.
Tier-1 market makers have been doing this for eons and skirting manipulation and trading laws by arguing that it’s all just an algorithm. I think the first instance I saw this working was 2004.

The article is massively misleading. They had to prod the model in a very specific way to get it to do it. This was not even a concentrated prompt attack this was just prompt nudging, and not newsworthy at all.
And here we see how AI will really be used to “change the world” by enabling the hyper-wealthy to further enrich themselves at the expense of others.
