Things I noticed:

-Both 22 years old
-Both 5 ft 9

Pro Kubo:
-Kubo has 5 times as many goals as Rodrygo despite having almost 4 times less xG
-Kubo has a much better conversion rate and higher shot accuracy
-Rodrygo has missed 5 big chances in comparison of Kubos 0
-Kubo’s market value is half of Rodrygo’s (one fourth if we consider that Real Madrid can buy him for 50% off)

Pro Rodrygo:
-More dribbles per 90 minutes
-More passes per 90 minutes

  1. Do you guys think we should sign him next summer considering we have a 50% off coupon?

  2. I also noticed this is best Kubo’s season and worst Rodygo’s season in his last 3, not to mention Rodrygo has proved himself in big stages [A.K.A. saving our asses on our miraculous CL run]. Playstyle-wise, Kubo is key in Real Sociedad offense, while Rodrygo is playing out of position, and Real Madrid’s scheme is balls to Vini/Balls to Jude.

Is he having a rough season? Yes. Should Carlo bench him? A little, maybe. Should we, as a fanbase, give him the credit he has earned, the same way we were patient with, lets say, Bale or Hazard, to name just 2? I feel like its just fair. Lets say we sell Rodrygo next summer and then we bring back Kubo, if he dosent have a Jude-esque debut, this time next year we are crying for Kang In Lee, Shaka, Ximelez, Musiala, Dani Olmo, Castolo, Cristiano Jr. or whatever the flavour of the month it is.

  3. Kubo is crazy good for Real Sociedad atm. Unfortunately both him and Rodrygo are not starter material for Madrid.

  4. Rodrygo is a brilliant player that still needs to adapt to a new system and pick up form. He will come good

  5. Ah yes 5″9 playing as a striker, doesn’t seem to be doing well.

  6. Kubo is having a great season, but in our current lineup I would think he would have the same struggles as vini and rodrygo because he is not a striker. If we go back to a 433 or a formation with wingers, he would be a good player to buy since we can buy him for around 30M (and he’s probably worth much more), and would give our attack more depth which is needed. Also in any case we end up selling him, he is probably going to cost more than 30M, so we can make profit regardless. But I do like his profile a lot and it’s something we have been missing. A good left footed RW and he puts good balls into the box and is very creative. He is similar to what I imagine guler will be, so maybe they can have some competition in future seasons.

  7. Kubo wouldn’t be doing so well if he was playing as a striker
