Does anyone else think that it’s extremely obvious that refs should be banned from freelancing in Saudi Arabia? They effectively regulate a multi billion pound industry. We don’t let FCA employees do consultancy for Barclays because that would be moronic. It’s no less moronic to let premier league refs take Saudi money and pretend that couldn’t obviously influence them.

Since the beginning of this season VAR has been slowly fucking teams over and he has benefitted from it. I don’t think he is a hippocrite, just finally impacted by some bad decisions.
No he is not. We regularly get unfair calls against us and he is usually always tactful in talking about those. Today was a rare (and justified) complaint. Also no manager is going to risk suspension for a game that didn’t involve him. The real question is, are you a literal child?
I think it is easy for us to armchair-quarterback the situation and say that every manager should be up in arms over every mistake. The airtime given to errors is doing the job of holding the refs accountable plenty. It is slow-going, but I simply can’t see things continuing this way without change. Like I said though, I believe it will be incremental.
