  1. Alternative title: Thousands of civilians in Gaza are trapped by their terroristic government, hamas, in a literal warzone.

  2. Why would Israel pause when the terrorists are still out there and the hostages haven’t been returned?

  3. You mean Israel rejected the ceasefire that is needed because Hamas broke an earlier ceasefire?

  4. Hamas is holding over 2 million people hostage in Gaza.

  5. This would all be over if a terrorist organization surrenders and hands over the innocent civilians they are holding hostage.

    Both sides win this way.

  6. and THIS is why the israelis cannot risk ceasefire for a moment – even after coordinated strikes and fighting, hundreds of thousands of enemy combatants remains just across the border, armed and ready to strike as soon as their guard is down. the difference in numbers is truly staggering.

  7. At what point, will the people of Gaza band together and root Hamas out of their tunnels, and take shelter there instead?

  8. After Hamas reject releasing its hostages, and denying its own civilians from evacuating from a warzone*

    There, fixed it for you

  9. I can’t begin to imagine why Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon aren’t eager and lining up to admit Palestinians.

  10. I am 100% FOR a pause

My question is… how come the international community isn’t making demands for Hamas? Like, free the kidnapped? Stop firing rockets? Come to the table and negotiate?

  11. No, Hamas rejects retuning the hostages. No pause before then..

  12. Hamas gave Israel everything it needed to justify its actions, asking for a pause isn’t on the table anymore, their time is up.

  13. They should get away from the front. Or, go find an idf soldier and tell them where Hamas fighter or tunnels are.

  14. Hamas should surrender, stop firing rockets and return hostages.

  15. People in this comment section are really suggesting to go ahead commit genocide to root out terrorist. No one is saying to let Hamas live but aren’t the lives of the hostages’ in danger too if this attack continues? ever heard of a hostage situation where the authorities decide to kill everyone in the vicinity to save “hostages”? Even Bin laden was killed by special forces, why is that not being implemented here?

I am no expert in this but this senseless killing of these many people just does not sit right with me, especially 50% being kids under the age of 18.

The way everyone on reddit seem to be fine by this is honestly frightening.

  16. Hamas being evil doesn’t mean Israel isn’t evil. Fuck both, and fuck those who only care about civilians only if they are Arabs or muslims.
This world is still plagued with racism and tribalism.

  17. A lot of Israeli Hasbara flooding the comments trying to win PR lol

  18. Let’s be real: if Israel did what Hamas did, the Arab World would be saying no quarter, no cease fire, no stop until the Jews are driven out.

  19. From day one the terms for a pause was to release the hostages, nothing changed.

  20. Journalists still don’t understand the extent of what is happening. All the concepts around humanitarian principles of the previous wars have expired. The previous gaza and lebanon crisis of the last 2 decades are nothing in regard of the current situation, in the eyes of israelis, and possibly the issue will be very different too. The current campaign is seen as a real, old fashioned war. The deads and the hostage situation totally changed people perspective, even in the left (in particular it’s mostly israeli in the left that were the victims)

  21. BREAKING NEWS: Hamas doesn’t give a shit about Palestinian citizens

  22. How can the Israeli government media claim the use of human shields by Hamas and reject a humanitarian pause and true safe passages for civilians ?

So far they aren’t on the road to success for their stated goals (remove Hamas + freeing the hostages) The more they seek to press for the first goal the more they die and the more they risk the lives of their hostages.

Whats their right move ? It can’t be more civilian deaths ratio.I feel that there is truth about the intent of collective punishment by the Israeli government. International law is slow but Bibi and this government is helping it catch up.

Also it seems they IDF has no intention on leaving their armored vehicles from the videos available online. How do they intend to save the captured by dropping bombs. Is it maybe removing Hamas at all costs (Israeli hostages + IDF deaths) ? How is that playing out so far ?

  23. He means the children. He thinks all Gazans are enemy combatants. He’s advocating total genocide by halves.

  24. It’s not shocking that after years of Reddit pushing dehumanizing posts (laughing at dead Russian soldiers, ridiculing anti-v word deaths, etc) that many this comment section are openly supporting *actual* genocide of the Palestinians, making excuses for Israel, and/or making unfunny quips at the entirety of the situation.

Even more ironic is that previously, if you were to say “I’m not supportive of either side” on an issue on Reddit, you would be ridiculed as a fence-sitter or a centrist. But in this situation, “both sides are bad” (or some other passive, generalized statement like “I don’t want civilians to die” – no shit, sherlock) is heavily praised to no end. At first, I used to get mad over stuff like this. Now I just laugh as I see Reddit eat itself alive.

  25. How do you guys know who’s Hamas and who’s not? They’re not wearing uniforms or name tag. Israel bombed hospitals and refugee camps. Then, they say everyone in the area was Hamas.
Hamas is just a resistance group…small fry compare to IDF. But no, this isn’t about Hamas, Israel just want Gaza so they can turn into a new tourist attraction.
Hamas this hamas that. You guys also called Malcolm X a terrorist.
