This sounds like an insane conspiracy theory but it’s the literal truth, you can look up his own comments to Likud conferences. Now he’s reaped mass murder and abduction of Israelis and made unavoidable a horrific and destabilizing war that will cost Israel decades of hard-won diplomatic progress with the rest of the world. He is a piece of shit, make no mistake. But he is also, regrettably, the elected leader of the country (for now). One can’t really just ignore him.

    On the other hand… the fact Erdogan tries to lecture us on morality… wow the irony.

  45. I can’t help but speculate that Netanyahu rushed into a risky venture in Gaza precisely to avoid a prolonged global debate about his suitability.

    In a few weeks he has managed to squander an unprecedented opportunity to draw global support for Israel. Instead, he lost diplomatic ties with Bahrain and Jordan, and seems to be irritating and embarrassing his American sponsors.

    What Israel needs more than anything else, is global recognition. It never had a better chance for a step change on that front. Netanyahu threw away that chance to win himself some more time in the hot seat.
