Hi!

I’ve been trying to keep my self up to date with the restrictions and been following [RTVSLO.SI](https://RTVSLO.SI) but there is one thing I haven’t seen there.

In almost every other country I’ve followed, the governments have set out a timespan for the restrictions when they’ve introduced them, but I have not seen one in Slovenia. I just remember that in November when the restrictions first came they said they would last for two weeks and be re-evaluated after that, but it’s been over 2 months now. Can anybody enlighten me if there is any goals or schedules they’re following or if the restrictions are gonna be there indefinitely?

  1. Yes, SLO government communication isn’t that clear/coherent and they have this little habit to announce and adapt Covid related changes the last minute. Or you could call them extra flexible.

Sometimes is actually better to follow the twitter account *of our glorious leader* for the first hand information.

You could check the official web page, they have support for foreign languages as well.

  2. Yes, they should reevaluate them, and they should use data to evaluate them, but in practice this means, that they ask our “expert group” if they want/need something new, they say “yes,this”/”no”, and our government approves or not, depending on the measures.

You can try appealing to our constitutional court, and you’ll probably win, but won’t get reimbursed for any damanges, and whatever you appeal against, there are probably five more previous appeals already there.

In reality, this is an election year, so there will be some more lockdowns now, then before the elections, we’ll be reopening and clebrating “beating covid” (again).

  3. Covid restrictions valid until … tomorrow? Next week? Yesterday? When three birds fly over the Ljubljana castle at precisely 77° NEE? Who knows.
